Kingslip is a designer that really has some amazing and diverse tricks up his sleeve…or should I say designs.
Lets check out his latest winning masterpiece, Astroschool!

1. How did you come up with the original concept for this design?

I was thinking about sound and the concept of space (where there is so sound) and that gave me the idea.

2. Your design looks a bit like the MTV astronaut…any relation (cousin, brother….lover)?

I think I was influenced on a subconscious level, one can never escape the culture bombardment one receives as a kid

3. How long did it take you to complete your piece?

1 hour to draw, 2 days to think about it

4. Why did you decide to use melange for the t-shirt colour?

I thought it would add the needed subtlety

5. Do you think we should suggest this as the new official t-shirt for NASA?

Of course

6. Why did you decide on a darker grey for the astronaut and not a brighter colour?

Grey is the new pink

7. Would you rather have this design printed in our UV or glow-in-the-dark novelty inks?

I don’t think its necessary

8. Who do you dedicate this design to?

My wife to be

9. Do you feel as if this design will be a big hit from a commercial perspective?

I have launched a full boycott against the word : “commercial” so on those grounds I’m not allowed to answer the question

10. What is your favorite winning design that you have created thus far?

The funny thing is that my favorite designs never win, but I’ll still stick with the Star Wors
