Cthulu watercity invasion by TaLamia
Don’t have much to tell here, my friend said something and it inspired me to do this. Part of a series I still have to find time to complete.
Cthulu Watercity Invasion design write up with TaLamia by DuncanBoxie
Duncs: What were you thinking when you first started the design?
Alison:I wasn’t!
Duncs: What was the original concept idea?
Alison: A simple tribute to cute Cthulu, a testament to its unequivocal power. I got the urge after a large Christmas dinner with friends where one of my friends got the cutest Cthulu figurine as a present. The image of the Watercity under attack just popped into my mind in its entirety.
Duncs: How long did it take you to complete your piece?
Alison: Two entire days.
Duncs: Did any other artwork inspire you to create this?
Alison: No.
Duncs: Do you think this design reflects your state of mind from when it was created?
Alison: Well… Christmas is a stressful time… :)
Duncs: Is this your normal style or an experiment?
Alison: Everything I do tends to be an experiment for me. I do one thing, I move on. I guess I get bored from reproducing the same style all the time. I know I should try it though, could be good for discipline?
Duncs: Who do you dedicate this design to?
Alison: Marius, aka Marie
Duncs: If you could change anything in this design what would it be?
Alison: That I didn’t have to change it for silk screening. The glow and depth is lost in the flattened version… alas we are still restricted by technology.
