Programmed for etiquette and domination, BadmiTRON is as indomitable as he is proper.

The BAD in Badminton design with robbielee by DuncanBoxie

This design by Robbielee may be twisted but it will still leave you smiling from ear to ear.
Do the humans really stand a chance against this monstrous serve?

1. What were you thinking when you first started the design?

It was downtime in summertime here in the US and that’s about all I can remember. I don’t know what I was thinking to be honest!

2. What does this design make you feel?

Tough but cool.

3. How long did it take you to complete your piece?

Probably about 10 hours or so, considering all the fine tunings I made by tweaking the stroke and the gradient background. And the colors, too.

4. Did any other artwork inspire you to create this?

The cool way Jack Kirby inked metal and the hairpieces Bill Sienkiewicz drew in the early Elektra comics.

5. Do you think this design reflects your state of mind from when it was created?

Sorry, I don’t think so. I don’t know what state of mind this one could reflect.

6. Is this your normal style or an experiment?

Normal- I do a lot of my stuff in half-tones. And I do robots way too often. And poofy hair, too.

7. Who do you dedicate this design to?

This guy eHalcyon. I don’t know him very well, but I do know he is Canadian and he loves badminton.

8. If you could change anything in this design what would it be?

Maybe have it print all the way from the hem at the bottom to the top of the neck and the ends of the sleeves.

9. What kind of person do you see wearing this design?
Sci-fi writers and theramin players.

10. If you could pick any artist to recreate this piece for you who would it be?

I’d like to see that guy who does the realistic and sidewalk chalk illusions do my design as one of his public sidewalk things. And Wayne Coyne, the Flaming Lips front man, would do a good job with it. His paintings are pretty cool.
