springleap is getting mentioned all over the place…

First up was The Citizen which did a profile piece on springleap, and apparently there was a picture as well (I haven’t seen the article yet)

Next up was UCT Radio station which did a 12 month live interview with Eran – the UCT radio station guys were fantastic – I mailed them asking if I could get a copy and the next day they emailed me a link to download the MP3 of the interview. Thanks guys!

The Natal Witness featured springleap on the home page of their entertainment section – I think it was the entire page! I’ve only seen a scan of the article but it looks aweseome.

BizCommunity wrote about the springleap April Fools Joke, along with tons of info about what we’re up to! NICE

The April 08 issue of Leadership Magazine has featured springleap as one of the Top 10 Internet Startup’s in South Africa! Stoked!

And the M&G Online did a great article on what springleap’s plans are – great article, but I’m not a great designer guys (although I’d love to be one!). I was pretty excited to see the article in the printed edition, but 2 trips to CNA only resulted in me popping into the woolworths next door to buy a chocolate as we haven’t been featured in the offline M&G YET…

It’s been a BUSY 2 weeks…if you see springleap mentioned anywhere (magazines, online, radio, TV etc), please LET US KNOW

The SEO comp has turned into CHAOS. Good Chaos, but it’s a little crazy nontheless.

WOW – what a posting. They’re number 7 in the competition at the moment, but the springleap team want to take a few mins to just say…

WOW!

They went into huge detail about ideas for how to make life easier for the designers submitting designs.

We’ve actually been working on our new submit process for the last 2 weeks, and it should go live any day now, so we’re looking forward to hearing what they say about the new design process.

Paul Jacobson from the chilibean blog interviewed our very own springleap founder Eran Eyal in a very innovative way today.

They got onto skype and the questions were asked LIVE via typing. So Paul asked a question, and Eran answered it in the skype window.

Then Paul did a small amount of editing (but left the time of the questions and replies), and the interview was blogged.

Discussion topics included:

what is Springleap, where did the idea come from?

is this the good stuff?

how does the process work from the perspective of an artist?

Would the choice of software package to support limit artist involvement? Is the software readily available?

What an awesome way of interviewing someone!

Wow that is a very unique interview.
An hour interview is quite a long time, i can imagine the typing can make things a bit disjointed though…would have been fun to watch over Eran’s shoulder.

Chris Mills, one of the top 25 bloggers in South Africa, (according to the amatomu rankings), sent a list of questions to the springleap team.

After a night of 7 Cappachino’s, 5 Latte’s and a flask of green tea, the springleap team were ready.

It was an exciting day yesterday, as the first official springleap press release got issued.

WOW The internet is amazingly fast.

Within 2 hours, the story had been picked up by google news & yahoo news, and then a whole host of smaller news sites.

Thats the “Global Hood” for ya, it spreads like wild fire…but its the kinda fire we love ;)
Interenet is undoubtedly the most important creation of our time…reach somebody, anywhere, with the click of a button, instantly.

So who was the first to break the story of springleaps launch?

First up to mention springleap was the Feisty Female but Bev shouldn’t really count as the first as she had a unfair advantage – she’s part of our PR team who is doing an amazing job getting the word about springleap out to the world.

So the real first site to get the word out about springleap was Charl Norman’s site Bandwidth Blog

Well read blog SA Rocks sent the springleap team a couple of questions to answer a few days ago.

So we did what we do best – did a quick touch typing course, wrote a novel, and sent the book back to SA Rocks.

On the 28th springleap was featured on SA Rocks.
