I feel this design is an awesome idea . We live in a world where everything is happening so fast and where we actueally have little control over anything . To portray this I have used a article my brother wrote :
“ For a while now I have been toying with this idea . I went into great detail about anyway, here my thoughts on the topic.
As Douglas Adams puts it, “the universe is Big” quite an apt way of describing it if you ask me… the minimum estimate is 13 billion light years but it goes all the way up to a couple of trillion light years. The mind simply cant comprehend its size and Big seems to fit nicely… I mention this simply to begin with a kind of counter argument. It is generally assumed that there is other alien life in the universe or (with a 100% probability) will be within some future. I agree with this but I am proposing an argument to prove that given the premise that no other life can exist in the universe other than humans (and other animals from planet earth) that given some unit of time there will be aliens – FACT!
Take by way of an example the Pepper moth in London During the industrial revolution this moth began to diverge from itself. One half of the moths lived on the sides of the black factories and over time became black. The other half lived on walls in the urban (non industrial) areas and remained white (a simple system of natural selection).
Now, it hardly seems like a massive realisation or ground breaking stuff but think this through with me. In a timespan of about 200 years the moths went from pure white to pitch black while retaining the same DNA and other identifying factors allowing for researchers to trace them back to the same original moth family. Given a further 200 years they will, no doubt, diverge further and slowly will begin to loose the common characteristics resulting in them being recategorized as a new species (as was the case between humans and apes).
Again, this is nothing new or astounding, all life has evolved from Omebas and due to the environmental pressures have (and accordingly to my belief) randomly evolved to the millions of organisms on planet earth.
But, let me get back to what I was thinking – planet earth is on its way out, we have screwed it up to a point where it is either move off or die with it. Its a terribly sad state of affairs but I believe it to be true. The more concerning thing however is that only a very small percentage of all humans will be able to leave this planet with the spaceships that do and the rest of us will be left to fend for ourselves without the scientists who built the rockets etc etc etc… but again, I digress – still an interesting point I suppose.
When the rockets do eventually lift off there will probably be two camps who get off the planet, the Americans and the Russians neither of whom will want to go in the same direction. So lets assume that they go in opposite directions. Given 5 million years (of 100 thousand years for that matter) nobody who is alive would have known about earth OR the other spaceship. There is of course even the possibility that those who were on the original spaceship were unaware of the other. So, given these 5 million years we will have two vastly different species who have originated from the same group but now look, talk and act very differently. Given that they are in effect only 10 million years apart and not travelling all that fast (relatively speaking) and probably landing and recreating an earth, there is an excellent chance that they could come into contact with each other and, given the generational changes which they have experienced, not recognise each other. THEREFORE, these humans will triamphantly declare that they have found alien life.
According to my fuzzy maths the probability of us finding ourselves before any other life form (given the Bigness of space) is incredibly high and I would guess it to be somewhere near a perfect 100% (assuming of course that aliens haven’t found us already).
This leads me to my next question: has this not already happened? Are we not what has been shot from another planet somewhere else in the hope that we can continue the “human” race? I like to think so… so, next time you hear of an alien sighting just think – it could be your pops checking in out you “ – don’t forget to say “Thanks for all the fish”

So with that in mind we need to stop worring about things we cant change and get on with it …
