Springleap.com is one of the most innovative t-shirt brands in the country.
Springleap.com sources cutting edge designs from a large community of design lovers and voters who participate in fortnightly t-shirt design competitions, with the winner voted by the community. Our business also has a number of other websites that we are currently building.
As a result of our rapid growth, we have a number of vacancies and we are looking for the following:
Front End Web Developer
Requirements:
o At least 2 years’ expert knowledge of HTML and CSS (essential);
o Experience in JavaScript and ideally jQuery;
o Strong programming background and knowledge of code documentation and handover processes;
o Excellent wire-framing experience – the role will involve collaborating with the design team to translate wireframes into page layouts;
o Taking responsibility for keeping track of progress and delivery of work that goes between the design and development team;
o Scrum experience would be advantageous;
o AJAX and Photoshop skills would be beneficial but are not essential to the role.
Part time PHP Developer
Requirements:
o Excellent experience working in PHP as a developer and coder;
o Strong ASP.NET working knowledge;
o Ability to troubleshoot PHP and ASP.NET applications and work on customising third party PHP software programme for launch of new website
o Programming experience over a LAMP stack would be ideal;
o Deadline driven, problem solver and able to multi-task and work within a team whilst producing high quality code;
o Ideally part time – around 3 half days a week initially with the potential to grow within our organisation.
Marketing Intern
Responsibilities:
o Content generation;
o Social media Activity;
o Project management;
o P.R assistance & implementation;
o Building relationships with existing designers & influencers as well as growing the designer & influencer base;
o Contributing on branding and implementations of marketing campaigns.
PR Intern
Responsibilities:
o Copy for press releases
o Media Liaison
o Schedule interviews, Q&A;s and meet ups
o Solicit free online exposure
o Liase with offline magazines & publications
o Report on exposure received
Office administration Intern
Responsibilities:
o General office administration;
o Reception duties;
o Liaising with company suppliers;
o Managing staff calendars.
Traffic Intern
Main tasks will include:
• Taking responsibility of managing the flow of work within the company;
• Compiling time schedules for each project and ensuring that all projects are communicated to the
relevant people within the company;
• Working closely with all managers to schedule meetings, and ensuring these meeting times are adhered
to;
• Making sure all work/projects are delivered on time and that objective are met;
• Collating daily status reports and distributing these amongst the relevant parties.
Skills required:
• Can-do attitude;
• Excellent organization skills;
• Ability to motivate and meet deadlines in a fast paced, highly pressurized environment;
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal);
• High attention to detail and quality;
• Flexible;
• Ability to work with a variety of different personalities;
• Good at multi-tasking and prioritizing;
• Strong team player, who will participate in brainstorming;
• Able to work effectively on your own;
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
This is a full time, 6-month internship (which may be renewed) and will be based at our offices in Woodstock, Cape Town.
