What I love is that this is a real South African shirt from a country where most of our government is African, coloured or Indian! Rock on SA – the real seat of multicultural and multiracial living.

In South Africa, the majority of people live like the Sempowenis. ‘e Sempowenis’ is basically a novelty ‘what if’ concept. We just plugged the Simpsons into a local demographic and viola! Comments have been made that it might be racist. We think that it is possible that this shirt is racist in America but speaking as minimum-wage earning citizens who strive to break the prejudices of the past, we think that the average South African will just have a good laugh at this tee and want to wear it on the street.
