whatever if you wanna be a pussy about it then so be it. owning a vector & creating your own are two totally different things. i guess you haven’t ben in the design world for long enough to appreciate originality. one day you will get there

Umm…firstly the vector is fully credited, as in Integral gives credit to the person who did the vector. Secondly as I understand it Integral paid for the use of the vector. Which means he OWNS it. If he chooses to use vector art in his designs that he has paid to make use of, then I see no Problem wat so ever. Scotty, your argument is moot and offensive. Real designers?? dude the word Real is extremely loaded. I didnt design any of the fonts I use, does me using them make me less of an artist? I am a novice at vector art, so I really struggle with it, does my lame attempts make me fall short of the ‘real’ standard? You admire tokyo (hell I do too), but please dont use him to put other artists down. Integral, as dusty says has some of the most evident experience of any artist submitting here. His stuff is diverse and very well executed, especially in the field of colour and half tones (where tokyo falls short by the way). As saz says, keep leaping

I feel like I should jump in here: “My goal is to get my company/self out there as a force, regardless of the path…” I might suggest that the HONEST path is best. It takes a bit longer, but the rewards and peace of mind are worth it. Short cuts generally lead to temporary success, but that can only last so long, and its a beeaich to keep up. Regardless, as saz says, ‘Keep LEAP-ing’, whatever that means.

you both have some super potent points but i gota say, as a future retailer of springleap’s designs it’s about what sells, and this T will sell. By the way “top” remarks scotty very “gun“ho. Integral i trust you completely by far the most versed and experianced in T-design and print so i’m a life long supporter with or without pre-designed vectors.

I appreciate constructive crits, vs bashing someone, the same way you did Saz1 design, it doesnt help anyone move fwd.. With that being said, I will take some of the challenges to heart and provide even better designs, but I am an apparel designer to sell shirts, when it all comes to the end of the day, and the customer is looking at a tee, unless they are versed in the industry, they wont care how long the design took, or how many people used that bear..My goal is to get my company/self out there as a force, regardless of the path, I think I am working hard to do that. Thank your for challenging me and being CONSTRUCTIVE with your critiques! Keep LEAPING

im sorry but my argument is the fact you are taking away authenticity bu using other peoples designs. you are blinded by your arrogance. if you were so good why dont you do your own intepretation of the bear ? we want to see you growing artistically, doing your own work. how would you do the bear illustration differently to adriands and his vectors, what expression would the bear have, what style would you do it in, the thickness, the lines. that time you are talking about is what it means to be a real designer like toykogogo and dusty rich who are true designers because they have hand generated their own content and added vlaue to the design world. unlike you who perpetuates bad design sense by using vectors that lazy people do and flooding the world of design with generic concepts ullustrated in different ways. Go Media is the reason there is no original work ou there becuase its a lazy way out with no focus on end execution. that doesn’t start a new style or trend. toykogog on the other hand who i admire, (you must see his work he had at his exhibition, greg my man you are amazing) he has devloped and made popular; his style with the big, wavy arms and legs. what do you have to show for yourself? adrians designs? im just saying maybe you should work on your own stuff that suits your own appeal then trying to conform to what is popular. its just a suggestion and im sorry if it seems i am tearing you down but i feel strongly about adding uniqueness and orginality to the design world instead of making reproductions of what we are bombarded with on a daily basis. i have been quiet for too long

What is even funnier is this website has a contest which features exactly what hes complaining about vectors, free ones at that.. Usually I don’t complain about critiques but the way he said this stuff is wild and got to me.. Here’s a sample of a recent illy, then show me your illustrations and we can compare my crappy line work and weight and blah blah…T-shirt design is not illustration design, so when something as bold as a freaking GIANT BEAR is on a tee, of course I am going to let you know who did it..It cost $10 go grab it HERE Let me know what you think scotty, I might grab the lion ones too and keep those for my line.. and if you look real close at the wolf and ape vectors Adrian has at his store, you will notice them ALL over DBH, stock vectors are tools now, so instead of me buying some clip art of a phone I might buy clip art of a pin up and do tattoos, luckily they are royalty free once you purchase.
