What is even funnier is this website has a contest which features exactly what hes complaining about vectors, free ones at that.. Usually I don’t complain about critiques but the way he said this stuff is wild and got to me.. Here’s a sample of a recent illy, then show me your illustrations and we can compare my crappy line work and weight and blah blah…T-shirt design is not illustration design, so when something as bold as a freaking GIANT BEAR is on a tee, of course I am going to let you know who did it..It cost $10 go grab it HERE Let me know what you think scotty, I might grab the lion ones too and keep those for my line.. and if you look real close at the wolf and ape vectors Adrian has at his store, you will notice them ALL over DBH, stock vectors are tools now, so instead of me buying some clip art of a phone I might buy clip art of a pin up and do tattoos, luckily they are royalty free once you purchase.

Scotty, you are a kumquat. This is a ‘t-shirt design’ website, not a ‘fine art’ or ‘original works’ website. being a designer in today’s world means that you use all the resources available to you. Stock vectors are huge, everybody uses them, its part of the trend. If your buds at your college are so good, by all means, gather up their designs, slap them on a shirt and add some ‘kak’ paint splatters and submit them. I promise you, you wont get near the quality and appeal of Integral’s designs. Come on I DARE YOU to do better.

Geez Integral bra. Why are you so mad? If you’re right, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about? Maybe scotty has a point? I’m willing to hear him out.

everyone might as well copy Threadless designs and then just colour them, add some lame, unoriginal paint splaters & then call it theirs Actually no lil slappy, its not that way. What you are referring to is COPY RIGHT INFRINGMENT, and to answer your questions, no I don’t take others designs and slap a splatter on and call it mine, its vector packs slappy! You pay for elements, you don’t want to do yourself. Why would I spend 2 hours creating a splatter effect if GOMEDIA has i t all ready made? Haven’t you heard? And to be very honest, my first 4 designs were all stock vector based, which most knew of and told me straight out.. I am sorry you lost respect for me, and actually this time, not worried about losing it, you can’t please everyone. Eric Eric please help LMAO.. EPIC FAIL SCOTTY PIPPEN

my 2 cents: Surely you can commission vectors. It is like you are submitting it on the artist’s behalf. And winning, well you got paid and they got paid. You just got your reimbursement after they got theirs.

i would really like to hear what eric and the brigand have to say about this, i dont think its fair at all. everyone might as well copy Threadless designs and then just colour them, add some lame, unoriginal paint splaters & then call it theirs like Integral seems to do & then get credit for it. great work

wow colouring is so hard. you basically pay people to do your work. such bull. i think springleap is a place where people send in original desings, not designs they have paid for.who are you kidding, the bear is the whole design.can’t beleive no one has picked up on this before

Oh and to reiterate: the bear is the commissioned vector…everything else even colors are by moi: So hire who ya need, cause right now you don’t have a leg to stand on.. Sorry springleapers, usually don’t get upset or crabby here, but when I get called foul, I scream back…

Are you upset that I pay for vectors? Or more upset that I use them the correct way? It’s no different use a flourish or some element for a design, the only difference is when I use commissioned artwork, I use it in the way that applies to the t-shirt and not just a simple paste job.. Appreciate your critiques, but I only used Adrian for 2 designs../over
