Yep block prints never have the same effect as free formed designs.

I like your illustration style, but a block print is never a good thing. The design needs to blend into the teeshirt, so that the whole tee looks like the canvas… Suggestions: Complete the bottom part of the illustration, make the spikes look like they’re driven into the tee…blend the ground out towards the bottom of the illustration as well as the sides. That way the bottom of the illustration will look like the whole tee is its canvas, and the top will be framed by the bluish squiggly sky things.
