Hey guys We got to the bottom of the matter and here is the OFFICIAL STORY AND SPRINGLEAP.COM POLICY The two designs are by the same artist. Ndikol sold the OTHER design to Validusapparel.com and there was some miscommunication. The issue came to light only after the design had gone into full print production creating a bit of a sticky affair. Guys please try to remember the ethos of Springleap.com is artist empowerment and try not to take advantage of us. The Low-Down 1. This is not a rip since there were 2 versions created by the same designer, which have quite a few differences. The OFFICIAL SPRINGLEAP.COM POLICY 1. If you enter a design (or similar variation) somewhere else and it is still in the running on that competition or if you have sold that design or a similar one to anyone before entering at Springleap.com, your design will be rejected. The ONUS LIES ON YOU TO GIVE FULL DISCLOSURE. 2. Designs entered at Springleap.com that DO NOT win the top place – ie they have not gone to print and the designer has not been paid the winning grand prize, as of January 2009- can be handled as the artist wishes – ie the rights belong to them but the image cannot be removed from Springleap.com. This means you can sell it or do whatever you like with it – we only own the copyright on the TOP voted design – who gets paid out handsomely and we cannot go to print with any of the others in that competition. 3. Designs previous to January 2009 that were either the winner or the runner up position and got printed are the property of Springleap.com and you cannot use them for any commercial use or make modified versions of them for resale. The designs of the Runners up that went to print previous to January 2009 as well as the Top Winner in each competition are the exclusive property of Springleap.com and you may not enter them into any other competition or make modified version of them for that purpose or for resale. So in short :
Guys – try to remember we are doing our best to reward artists and create an awesome platform for their empowerment and reward. Don’t screw us. Work with us to help us make this platform the kind of one you deserve.

Can you say “OH NOEZZZ?” ndikol – what’s it gonna be? Hey, if you’re allowed to do that I’m definitely entering my previous winning designs elsewhere.
