I did the text like that cos I liked the way the ‘dark’ look went with the feeling of the tee shirt…

Wish it could be done in that shiny plasticky ink (is that plastisol?), but I don’t think that is possible in this comp…I doubt SA screeners have that capability sadly..If they do it is probably ridiculously expensive.

i didn’t actually even see the writing til you mentioned that there was writing… it is very hard to see. though it does make the design a lot more interesting. i think it would be very cool if (like thebrigand mentioned) the writing could be printed with flocking or plastisol… not sure if that’s possible for that competition though….?

Thanks for the feedback Mr E.

I’m submitting some hand drawn designs next month, would love to hear what you think o them.

Hi SilverSabre

To be honest it depends on the design – classically texture (eg: puff print, flocking) is best for Black on black designs – it is really hard to say until you actually have a strike-off – I have seen some really cool designs with black on black silkscreen though that uses the slight sheen that the plastisol offers against the matt fabric.

As a rule – I wouldn’t get too attached to the concept tho.

I would love to get more feedback on this design…

The black text on a black tee is something i really like, but I’m not sure how well it will work printed. I have seen shirts with printing like this and they all looked very cool, but I don’t know if it works on tee shirts?

Also the new tee shirt packs black tee shirt does not allow black text to be visible on it. Does this mean it wont be allowed?
