I used to do bonsai as a hobby quite seriously when I was younger, and I have been thinking of getting back into it.
Looking at one of the potted plants at home the other day I couldn’t help but see it from the plants point of view :P

nice, dude! i love the bonsai! looks great! the only thing that bothers me a bit is the fact that you put highlights on what is supposed to be a shadow? it makes it look like a liquid or other glossy substance.. great illy tho, loving your work! :)

Hey Tokyo / Eric :) Thanks guys, I’m really enjoying my art at the mo, so thanks for all the positive feedback Eric: its a shadow….It just added it to sorta complete the bottom of the picture…give it a base you know? Lol, Eran and I had a debate about that shadow. The approvers thought it was dark red…not noticing it was a black half tone :) Tokyo: I wanted the bonsai-trimmer to look like a scary unreal monster. The kind that are all shadows and mystery. you know wat i mean? the kind children know are real and parents dismiss as bad dreams.

Yeah dude, your work is just getting better and better! Would be rad to see the same amount of detail thats in the bonsai, in the trimmer too! or even flip the concept and have the little bonsai trimming bits off the person….. um is that mean O_o.. amp’d to see more subs from you!

well, your design is really growing in springs and springs :) looking really cool. but what is that around the potplant? blood from the person or water from the plant?
