Less can be more, but like your guitar shirt, this needed some extra elements to bring out that central theme. The idea is great. Imagine the trees roots spiraling down the big figures arm in a celtic or tribal manner. I sometimes add a whole bunch of stuff till its crazy, then I start taking away till I’m happy with it :)
