Be Somebody was one of those thought provoking designs that made you really stand up and take notice…well that and the awesome unique style of Gimetzco’s work.
1. What were you thinking when you first started the design?
1. I wanted to design a funny shirt.
2. What was the original concept idea?
2. The original idea was to have Jesus Christ on the dragon instead of Freud…but there are too many silly or mean Jesus shirts, and I dig Christ so I didn’t want to add to those designs.
3. How long did it take you to complete your piece?
3. A day or so.
4. Did any other artwork inspire you to create this?
4. nope.
5. Do you think this design reflects your state of mind from when it was created?
5. Yeh, it’s the image that was inside my mind.
6. Is this your normal style or an experiment?
6. I vary in style. Most of my artwork looks like I did it, but I vary between a few select styles.
7. Who do you dedicate this design to?
7. My wife, as she was the one who suggested the concept.
8. If you could change anything in this design what would it be?
8. Limited colours.
9. What kind of person do you see wearing this design?
9. I suppose, people who like dragons and castles…and maybe those that get the absurdity of the image.
10. How can art save the world?
10. It can’t, it can only present ideas overtly or subtly.
