1. So tell me about where you grew up, have you lived there all your life or have you bounced around a lot?
I grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. I’ve lived there since I was like 2 years old up until a month ago. I have relocated to be with the girl of my dreams who just got a very good job in Phoenix, Arizona. Otherwise this is the most I have moved or bounced around in my entire life.
2. When you were a child what did you want to grow up to be and what would you say is your dream job now?
When I was a kid I KNEW! I was going to be a professional baseball player…time definitely showed me that baseball was not going to happen. Plus I had a love affair with video games, pizza, and soda pop! So I was now the chubby kid…All through school I was really good at math and science and everyone kept saying you would be a really good engineer, so I pursued schooling for that profession…but it sucked! I hated math and science, I was good at it, but didn’t see a point in doing it. I was interested in other things, like radio, live music, bands, graphic design, etc.
I actually just gave up my dream job in Michigan. I worked in the promotions department for 89X, the alternative rock station for the market. I did web and graphic design, managed the promotions interns, and did radio bits for their Morning Drive program. If I could get that job again in Phoenix it would be perfect!!! But I will settle on something in the Marketing field, preferably street/grass roots marketing or something similar.
3. Have you got a big family, how many?
I had a very small family. Just my parents and little sister. (The perfect amount of siblings!)
4. What is without doubt the best experience of your life?
As corny as it sounds the best experience of my life would be meeting my girlfriend. She is the greatest…we’ve been together a long time and will continue to. Maybe if I win enough weeks on Springleap i’ll be able to get her a fancy ring But she is awesome and I love spending my time with her, plus she is almost 100% of all my ideas and projects…she is also the voice of reason when it comes to running my suburbanhijinx clothing line!
5. If you could have any super power what would it be?
I think it would be fun to fly, but I’m not very good with heights! Invisibility would fun as well…if there was a super power to cure disease I would want that one…the others would be fun, but I would something useful.
6. If you could hang out with any star for a day who would it be?
It would be Judd Apatow. Not because I am a fan, but I know he has alot of power when it comes to making gross out comedies in the USA. I know I could convince him to put me in a movie and become the next Seth Rogan…only funnier!
7. What makes the world go round?
If my astromonoy class serves me correctly I believe it is the pull of the gravity of the sun on the earth being titled on it’s axis…or am I way off?!?
8. What makes you a better person than the average man on the street?
I don’t think that I am better then the average person…I think I would be a perfect example of the everyday average joe!
9. What music are you listening to at the moment?
Right now I really LOVE this band called Hockey and I’m diggin Spinnerette! I listen to Everytime I Die, Brand New, Coheed and Cambria, and a lot of post hardcore and screamo with little bit of electro-rock and indie mixed it.
10. Do you think there is an afterlife, what kind do you expect to find?
If there is an afterlife it would be cool if it was all made out of marshmellows and candycanes. There would be no need for money and everyone lived in harmony. There is that or I hope I get to be reincarnated as a dog with a good home and nice owner. My pets have GOT the life…free food, lay around, all you have to do is remember to poop outside.
