Kingslip is a designer that continually submits unique work.
For our Slogan Theme Competition he blew the competition out of the water with this “leggy” design masterpiece.

1. What were you thinking when you first started the design?
I recently started working with an old letterpress machine and am loving the old-way plate printing (the ink not touching on the whole design). So I wanted to do an flat vintage type design that looks letterpressed.

2. Do you think slogan t-shirts will always have a place in society?
As long as people have time to read

3. How long did it take you to complete your piece?
Conceptually – 3 days, work – 1 hour

4. If you could go for a different colour variation on this design, what would it be?
Teals and pinks

5.What is your favourite wild animal?
Bears with sunglasses on, they get me every time

6. Is this your normal style or an experiment?
I have no style yet, so it’s all experiments

7. While you added a picture element, do you think that traditional slogan designs should be text only?
Can go either way, depends on the piece

8. What is the best slogan design t-shirt you have ever seen?
“you can’t drink all day, unless you start early”

9. What kind of person do you see wearing this design?
All types really, I mostly design things that I would wear myself, so that’s not really an answer.
I think you wear a slogan t-shirt to show the world that you have a sense of humour.
So funny people and girls washing cars.

10. If you could get this design made with one of our new novelty inks, would you prefer Glow-In-the-Dark or UV-Glow?
UV glow- I think is more a daytime T.
