Ill be dead honest, for me it was more just a “hey, lets try make a pretty picture” so i would definitely not suggest reading too much into it :P
Most of my work is along that line, i tend to draw things i think would look cool, and not so much things that have a deeper hidden meaning. Personally i find it takes the fun out of drawing when i constanly try to “conceptualize” and place meaning into things.
Its way more enjoybale just putting pencil to paper, drawing a pile of stuff, and seeing what i end up with.
I sketch my pics out on paper, scan to pc, ink the pencils using either photoshop or illustrator. Then i colour with either photoshop, illustrator, or Painter 9.
Thanks guys. I was a bit sketcky at first about using text, but then i figured the whole idea might get lost if i didnt add it. I got a brainspark when i saw an old photo of US army Willis jeep. Managed to track down a pretty accurate font, and bob’s your uncle :D
The colours do look a bit drab onscreen, i initially started with a white shirt, but considering the theme went with military green in the end.
Very cool style. I think adding in some characters who themselves were “pimped” would tie the whole design down a bit more. At the moment it kinda feels like its floating.
Thanks so much guys :D
Im a bit floored that it did win.
Thanks to all that liked/voted for my pic, i really appreciate it :D
Hehe :P
Thankyou.

I usually dont like text on design, but i liked the font, and i figured it suited the picture.

Thankyou, i had a helluva time trying to pick which colours i was gonna use after i had finished the sketch.
