It’s rad that you want to be a graphic designer. That’s what i do and i must say it beats crunching numbers. However crunching numbers will net you a lot more money. Anyway it’s still a cool career so if you’re keen, do it.
Don’t mess around in college, your portfolio is what will get you a job. The better your portfolio, the better your job. If you want to mess around, take a gap year and only study when you’re ready to do it properly.
Research GD courses, don’t just do 1 because…
Do as much freelance work as possible during college. The sooner you start dealing with real clients, the better. Plus it’s also a great way of making some cash.
That’s all i can think of for now, i hope it’s at least a little bit helpful.
