Paul Baines has churned out another awesome t-shirt design! Body Electric is his latest creation and is centred around the use of the electric chair.
You know, I never really thought twice about the death penalty. Someone does something unimaginable to another person in the old days and they would be sentenced to death by the electric chair. Simple. But after seeing Paul Baines’ latest t-shirt design and reading up about the story behind the image I was shocked… no pun intended! The electric chair doesn’t execute life as quickly as its perception allows. In many cases, victims die in the chair by burning to death or having their insides explode. Unbelievably inhumane. To me, this t-shirt design, Body Electric, speaks out against letting authoritative human beings decide the terrible fate of other human beings. No matter what havoc they’ve unleashed upon the world it makes them just as bad the person in the chair. I absolutely love this design. It has completely changed my view on a situation and for that this design deserves a huge round of applause. Being about to create a passion where there was no passion before, to alter a perception by creating a paradigm shift. Amazing! Paul Baines’ designs are researched, well rendered, deep and touching. I would be proud to be seen wearing one of his designs! I can’t wait to see what else he is offering the graphic design and fashion industry! Paul Baines T-shirt Design FTW! |

yeah it just goes to show how powerful art can be in changing peoples lives and perceptions about global issues. Many people view art as being fluffy but in actual fact art illustrates life and all it entails, the good and the ugly. Beauty through art is one thing, but the perception gained from that art is what drives the actual meaning. The way i see it is that art is a medium that can be used to evoke many different emotions, which is why art is everything at the end of the day!
