The Sick Leaves’ performance on MK last week proved to be a great success! Led by Eksteen Jacobsz, the band rocked alongside popular and lovely South African singer, Tamara Dey, for Coz you like it.
The upbeat and vibey song instantly brought the crowd to their feet! It was clear that they had had a blast!

Next, the audience was treated to a beautiful acoustic guitar performance by Eksteen titled All the times, which you can check out here:

When asked about the support the band got at the performance, their band manager, Linda Thompson, replied: “The response from the audience was terrific! It was beautiful and heart warming to see how the audience was able to show their support for The Sick Leaves in this way.”

Eksteen also had an interview with MK where he spoke about collaborating with the talented Tamara Dey and his new song All the times. Eksteen wrote this song only 1 week before performing it on the MK stage! Now that’s impressive! Have a look at the interview below:

The guys totally owned the stage in their Springleap designs and delighted the Studio 1 audience by giving away a few Springleap t-shirts as well!

“The Sick Leaves are proud ambassadors of Springleap,” says Linda. “The tees are well aligned to The Sick-Leaves as the music is artistic, well thought out and stands out from more mainstream music, with Springleap’s tees embodying similar characteristics.”

Following an outstanding performance, the only question left to ask is, what can we expect next from the Jo-burg based band? According to Linda, they’re currently working on new material and a concept for a stop motion music video as well as busy launching their own website! Exciting stuff!
