Change is GOOD! – so get ready for good things. We’re about to make some great changes on the site – the header bar is one of them – soon a new header bar is on its way to you to make the site iPad, iPhone and mobile friendly. ….but we’re not stopping there. Recently we mentioned that if the winning design on a competition is not strong enough we would close a competition with no winner or let it go on longer. We’ve got a better idea… Instead we will close the competition with no winner… but the next themed competition will carry A DOUBLE SIZE CASH PRIZE. Yep – that means that the next competition would carry on to become a cash prize of R8000 – like US$1000. What do you think about that? YES, NO, LOVE, HATE? WE WANT TO KNOW!
Although we run Springleap, we run it on YOUR behalf – that’s because the community is the power of this site. I think they know that the flash thing on the springleap site is boring.Some friends had real issus to log in, and one of them sent me a screen capture and the top banner wasn’t even appearing on her browser!!!so she could’nt vote.Having more options to upload details and other shirts colors could be a good thing, i agree.

I agree with silvan. And also I would like to have more options in the submission, such as adding a large image to put the design bigger, and see the details, and add “t-shirts preview” to see colors options if you need. I hope you understand my proposal

I dont like your voting gallery guys. 6 designs which are in randomly order. Sorry for the bad english, didn’t have much time for that (I’m at work) and Cheers. btw, Top10 sounds awesome!

Wow! These are awesome suggestions! Thank you! The bigger prize is something we are always considering and pushing. Luckily we have some cool EXTRA competitions coming which will carry INCREDIBLE prizes. The leaderboard is rad. Perhaps even a live voting leaderboard listing the top 10 designs being voted on currently? (No particular order). That way the artists can push their pals and social media streams to vote for them to either keep them in the top 10 or to get onto the list?

I’m not sure about double cash prize – it’s not exactly fair (winners should all be entitled to the same amount unless it’s a special competition). I’d rather see it put into a pool and then at the end of the year maybe half of it is paid out equally to all that year’s winners and the other half is used for something else (I’m just not sure of the something else – charity? New-product/apparel development and testing?). I’d also like to see a permanent open contest with the themed contests being more of a “bonus” thing.

Yeah I’d also like to see some interesting top 10 lists. It would be cool if royalty payments could be a consistent thing, like every 2nd or 3rd month, Its also a way to keep track of how much shirts are selling. Great to see a poll like this! :)
