Design a Tshirt for Markham

shoutOut on 29/8/08 by Eric in wordUp

For those of you that have had your heads in the sand your whole life, Markham is one of the biggest clothing retailers in South Africa with more than 200 stores.

And now you have a chance to design a Tshirt for Markham in springleap’s FIRST themed competition.

The winner will get R5000 cash PLUS a R5000 Markham voucher PLUS if Markham decides that you’re a fashion designer they want to work with, who knows what will happen…

Exciting News – we’ve developed a WYSIWIG for this comp, which means you can either design on your design software (photoshop, illustrator etc) OR if you’re not an expert with software (but really creative), you can just drag and drop on our online tshirt creator!

So now EVERYONE can come up with a winning Tshirt design.

Start submitting designs today until the end of September, and voting takes place from the 1st October till the 23rd October.

Got any QUESTIONS or FEEDBACK on the Markham comp? ASK in the comments section below…

This is in the terms and conditions – does this mean Markhams can use any designs submitted to the competition without and compensation to the designer???

All entrants agree that they may not be paid a fee for any use of any T-shirt designs submitted, now nor in the future, and hereby waive any claims they may have in respect of any use of the design whatsoever including any royalties from future use or as a result of income from any public performance or that shall accrue and has been collected by any collecting society. In this regard the Foschini Group or their assignees is hereby authorised to collect such payments on the Entrant’s behalf.

oh I don’t? I clicked that tiny link “Terms and Conditions” and it took me to the Markham page where it says “All Entrants agree to be bound by these rules and must reside in the Republic of South Africa.” on the very last page

heya Alvery

you don’t have to be living in South Africa to enter

heya radiomode

as you use at least one of the elements, you can go wild

so adding to the elements is fine

there’s one winner in this comp who will win the R5000 cash and R5000 Markham voucher, but the Markham Fashion spotters might approach other designers, if they like what they’re seeing

Hmmm.. can I modify the elements? like adding color or textures? Puting something in the middle?
How many winners will there be?

I meant operating system SilverSable (that’s what happens when you don’t have time to sleep)

we’re looking into it – should have any issues fixed up in no time

heya HappyDesign / Goggl3boy & all the people that have asked questions and given us feedback on our online chat

Submit entry’s like normal, but you’ll find when you submit them, that it asks whether you are entering the monthly competition or the Markham competition

it doesn’t become one of the top 5 – for the Markham comp you can enter as MANY AS YOU LIKE

For the Markham comp, you can design WHATEVER you like as long as the image is on the front (same as the monthly comp), and the colours are less than 7 (6 if you are using a coloured T), and your design needs to include ONE OR MORE of the Markham “Elements”
