Gaga over pop art and culture fashion!

Like it or not, Lady Gaga is taking the fashion world by storm. Single handedly!

She is one of the few pop artists who have rocketed to fame with true hard work and dedication. Self promoted singer, songwriter and a tough act to follow fashion icon, Lady Gaga is totally out of this world, and so is her dress sense!

The 20-something year old fashionista describes her style as graphic, futuristic, avant-garde and trash glamour! Donatella Versace is one of her fashion icons, so this might explain the blond locks…

She designs many of her own stage apparel and isn’t ashamed to wear an outfit more than once. She explained on an interview with Yahoo’s The Thread that she even creates the same oufit in different colours in order to “burn the image into people’s brains”!!! Well you can’t deny that it’s worked tremendously well. Here is an example of the Lady Gaga Origami Dress on two different occasions.

Her music is a mix of dance-pop, electro-pop, and rock with a taste of disco and burlesque. She’s all about embracing pop culture and she regards art in fashion as a strong part of who she is.
She says you have to feel good in what you wear, even if its a little crazy and “if you feel good, f@%# everybody else”!!! Wow, you go girl! Below is the famous Bubble Dress she wore on stage for part of her world tour.

As a youngster she looked up to acts like Queen and her style has a lot to with what she learned from them. Here she explains what her goal is and why she does what she does: “I look at those artists as icons in art. It’s not just about the music. It’s about the performance, the attitude, the look; it’s everything. And, that is where I live as an artist and that is what I want to accomplish.”

Her crazy style has been critisized to the bone yet so many people continue to be die hard Lady Gaga fans. Is it her sexy video’s? Her neverminded attitude? Or that she embraces that the world of design is changing!?
