In perhaps the strangest story I’ve heard in a while, a tiger has escaped his owner’s bakkie by opening the canopy and taking himself out for walkies. The tiger was allegedly being taken to the vet for treatment when he escaped the vehicle. He was last seen in the Delmas area.

Every reasonable person surely knows that the vet should have gone to visit Panjo, not the other way around. How crazy do you have to be to stick a tiger in the car and go for a drive?? Anyway, there have been a few “sightings”, although a spokesperson from the SPCA confirms that one sighting was, in fact, not the tiger, but rather a very large dog. Hmmmm….

Now- in case you happen across this predator- be warned. If he has been hurt during his escape, he could be wild and aggressive, in which case you’re pretty much screwed. However, if he is ok and he jumps up, a simple but firm “NO!” will cause him to back off- according to the owners, Panjo is very well-trained. So well-trained, in fact, that he was able to open the canopy of the bakkie without the use of opposable thumbs.

So Springleapers- to up the stakes a little, we are offering the person who finds Panjo a very unique prize- 1× Tiger Hug Hoodie by Colwyn

So get spotting Springleapers!!

Laters!

I think Duncan is rocking this picture!!

Having the real tiger would just add to it but its awesome

I hope they find her – well should the owners even be allowed to have this tiger? Is it legal?
