I Give a Damn...

shoutOut on 29/1/09 by souf in

about climate change and our environment.

A while back I watched this little animation movie (by airside) about climate change and what we could do to make a difference. This inspired me to design a green tee for a change.

This is what I came up with. I used the classic Rosie icon from the world war 2 and tried to incorporate her into my design and the fight against global warming.

Hope you like

Hi – I love this pic. I actually already have a t-shirt with her on it. Only difference is that it doesn’t say “I give a damn” – it says “we can do it”. I bought it at the Rosebank fleamarket – was an import from Thailand :)

Thanks for the comments guys

@SS – I wanted that whole WW1 and WW2 poster effect. But decided to go with this. The “destroy” effect: in a way you can say that this is what we are doing to the earth unless we change.

@Integral – LOL funny bro. I rather went the safe way then get into trouble man. You never know what might happen in the long run.

@Bingbong – What colours do you think should have used? This green was the only colour that worked for me unless I changed the black to a light grey then you would have gotten that fresh look to it. Why I only think of it now? LOL. I saw that I got layers all mixed up but it was to late for me to change it because I’ve already entered it. I do apologize for that.

But thanks anyway guys

Like the concept, but I don’t feel that just the colour green is strong enough to link it to the conservation of the ecosystem… Also, um, on the shirt preview, you’ve gotten the layers mixed :)

Actully as far as I know Rosie is available through creative commons and its a public domain image, so maybe there was no reason to buy it sucka! You can send me some moola though Souf!!
