Yes peeps its come true whether we wanted it to or not..
It seems our beloved site www.springleap.com is becoming nothing more than a popularity contest… most communities on the net fall to this. BUT NOT US

Sad i know. But never fear for the artists are here! I know there are a few of artists like myself who are dedicated to springleap.com and I’m going to get in contact with as many of them as possible to get this sorted.

I believe every design deserves a fair vote on the sole fact of whether you would buy the shirt or not. Thats how i vote anyways… I’m very very fussy( used to stand in esquared durban for about a week before i found something i liked and that was a shop loaded with stuff that kicks half our stuff hard) so things rarely get over 3.
AND I KNOW i havent been leaving many comments on EVERY design like i used to, but i think thats what we need to start doing so that designers can grow. Instead of killing eachother we should be feeding eachother.

So from now one,I’mgoing to do my best to give helpful tips where i can and give all round support to even the weakest, no. thats not a fair or right thing to call any designer. I’ll give my all round support to every individual designer because anywork done should never go unnoticed.

Sure i’m blabbing. But i love that site, and i’v found that if your not getting comments your not getting noticed…
guess i might just be feeling a lil unappreciated…

but that will change once we can all pull together an make springleap a better place!!!!

I think this movement shall be dubbed making LEAPS.
becuase it sounds cool for a positive campaign sorta thing
which is what we need to accomplish to make it a usual thing to
have a helpful tip on your new design or a nice comment that supports and doesn’t kill…

ALL you have to do if comment on every design you vote on.. it just means it might take longer to vote but ypou have a whole month. And what if your one comment ends up helping an up and comming designer so much they go from the least votes to the most?
I dont know about everyone else, But i’d rather help the guys and gals that are willing to get out there with springleap than kill them..

If Popularity is the problem, wouldnt it be fair to hide the artists name on an artwork, untill after you’ve voted? The curiosity of who made the design might inspire more people to vote as well?

I’ve seen so many LEAP-ers taking such huge LEAPs in their skills this month its scary! and I haven’t even got half way through the designs yet! Some really awesome awesome entires this month… can’t believe the talent thats being worked on and improved. it’s making it real hard to decide a score! I can’t wait till everyone’s getting and giving advice and help to get eveyone to that level! then it’s gonna be impossible to score ! LOL

I really love this because ultimately this is what the site is all about – a springleap is not something that can be done by oneself. A springleap is possible when someone believes in someone else, or their talent enough to make the effort to help them jump several steps in their on evolution.

This is the embodiment of the intentionality of this site and what it serves to achieve – a springleap for designers.

I’m seeing there’s artists that are taking LEAP’s and this to me is like a heart warmer!
Soon designers will have such high levels of work it’ll be easy to take over the world!

Lets start making a LEAP.

So how can we get designers on the site to grow together instead of apart?
I’m thinking a HUGE MEET!!!!

LEAP MEET day or something weird and wonderful like that….
ANY COMMENTS FROM THE POWERS OF ABOVE ON A WORKSHOP FOR THEIR DESIGNERS?
i think if we had a sort of day where we worked together on things and helped eachother out the amount of greatness ness would improve all round!

Lets help em grow so that every month instead of the competition being between only certain designers its around all the designers!
