I am excited prints are finally rolling off the printers shelves onto Springleap stock room shelves but whats up with the product shots? 3 things I think would help overall sales and feel of the site. 1) No one likes digital mocks, it doesn’t do any justice to the art or the print. I think the MINUTE the tees are ready to be sold you should take some product pics and replace winning designs crappy digital mock with the new one. 2) I think “customer” photos or “seen in public” photos should be seperate from “product” shots so the BEST photos of the design and how it looks printed should be up. 3) Give us some up close shots, shots from the side. I see your trying to be like Threadless with the wacky photos, but it looks kinda corney and sometimes makes me not want to purchase said design. I think stick with what DBH is doign and doing some classy hi res photos of the design so we can IMAGINE how it might look on vs some girl doing some wacky pose that might take away from the design. When I get the newsletter I am psyched to see things printed, but show me A REAL picture of the tee, we have been seeing the digital mocks for months, why would another link shwoing me the same thing make me buy? |

on the note of the Springleap brand on the back of the tee – it’s something we have thought about long and hard and it’s here to stay. We WANT people to know it’s a Springleap.com tee – we WANT people supporting the site and the brand – after all this is what is helping us to reward and expose artists.

Integral – I totally agree on no.1 – we are going to be on a blaze of photo taking and uploading in the next couple of weeks so that will be a rocker for sure – in about 3-4 months we are looking at a total site overhaul and all of these are matters we are definitely attending to. On no 2. – not sure if I agree there – the biggest aspect of Springleap.com is it’s community and we love to let people just be people wearing tees, instead of pro shots. Sure we will use more professional shots – but I love seeing pals of mine wearing a tee when I come to the design page. Still – it is something to consider! I think there is space for out custom pics and what you are describing – for sure – we should include more all over angle s – it’s an excellent suggestion. The digital mockups are definitely something we are going to be attending to – Thanks for being so cool and always giving us such great input! U ROCK!

I agree. We need photos of the actual tees… Does Springleap still print their domain name at the back? Or is it now only done on the inside? (which would be MUCH better)
