Quite a few of you have mailed and contacted us in the last few days, saying that Scotty should be banned from springleap. What should it take for a person to get banned? He’s been rude to others, but quite a few people have been rude to others, and no-one asked them to be banned. But his language has been a little extreme in my opinion. but springleap isn’t about my opinion. it’s about what we all think. the only thing which i think is fair is to have a competition with one entry – voting for whether scotty should be banned from springleap. you like, or anyone got better ideas on how to handle this? |

awesome stuff that he got banned… he really was awful in terms of his statements… just a pity we didnt get the chance to see Goggl3boy whip his #ss in the design-off… lol.. that would have been awesome….

YOU HAVE A FILTHY MOUTH AND A POOR ATTITUDE – Springleap is clearly not the place for you. Please take your miscreant behavior elsewhere. Your clear disregard for the spirit of the site and the potential age of the users is really quite telling of your personality. We are HUGE on second chances and we really tried to give you some rope. It seems you used it to critically hang yourself. Your account is being removed and you are hereby banned. Your e-mail has been flagged as well. Springleapers – our apologies that you have had to be subjected to this sort of nonsense. Oh – and your real account – Stathi, has been removed. This account has also been flagged. PS – we know who you are, and we are waaaatching Stathi.. oops I mean Scotty. We will be dropping your lecturers at Vega an e-mail regarding your behavior. I think a lesson in professionalism is long overdue for you.

I know its a bit late for feedback here, but I’d like to add a few ideas for the criteria of banning. I’ve belonged to a few design communities online and the general FAQ’s and terms and conditions usually out line the following as grounds for a ban or the removal of posts that are offensive or illegal: Forum Conduct:

I dont see the point in banning him. He can just sign up under a different name. But if there is a way I say hell yes ban him, he is an insulting irritating no good “designer”. Notice the “ “ its because I havent seen any designs from him.
