Springleap.com is a company with a community of design lovers and voters who currently participate in bi-monthly t-shirt design competitions with the winners voted by the community. Springleap is currently looking for a strong and experienced Operations/Production Manager to be responsible for the operations and production side of the business as well as assisting us in the expansion of our product range, and managing a small team who focus on production and logistics.

You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:
• Managing the duties of the production and stock employees team (including productivity, attendance, etc);
• Assessing new stock requirements and levels;
• Assessing new suppliers for products in the range (apparel, digital, promotional and future non-apparel related products);
• Negotiating and approving rates for production or delivery (high level);
• Planning/hedging production and overseeing this process;
• Approval of orders and final products (including approval of design);
• Accountability for areas of production, stock and delivery;
• Documentation of the above;
• Gathering, examination and collation of reports from employees;
• Chairing production, stock and logistic meetings;
• Performance appraisals of operations/production team.

The successful candidate will already have experience of operations and production and is likely to have worked as a production/traffic manager in a previous role. Knowledge of the retail industry would be ideal, but FMCG experience will also be considered.

Strong planning, administrative and communication skills are a must for this role as well as the ability to multi-task and take on new projects as and when required. You must be service oriented, deadline driven and have the ability to manage staff and take initiative and responsibility at all times.

We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, with a creative flair and who can bring new ideas to the operations/production department and assist us in streamlining our processes. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
