springleap Tshirt Feedback

shoutOut on 18/12/08 by Eric in wordUp

What did you like and didn’t like with your springleap tshirt?

Please give us feedback, so that we can improve in the future.

Here are some suggested questions you can answer for us, but feel free to speak your mind:

1. what tshirt design/s are you commenting on? (name is on the back of the tshirt)
2. guys / girls and what size? (details in the inner neck)
3. did you get it in the post, or in a shop or as a present or other?
4. first impression of the tshirt?
5. did you get the badge and postcard, and what did you think?
6. what did you think of the front print? (good quality, not great)
7. what did you think of the name of the design and the designer at the back of the tshirt?
8. what did you think when you tried it on? (was it too small, too big, a perfect fit, needs changes?)
9. after you washed it, did it shrink? (a lot, a little, none at all)
10. anything else?
11. what would your rating out of 10 be?

We really appreciate your feedback and be honest – if there is something we’re doing wrong we want to hear about it so we can fix it up. And if we’re doing something right, it makes us feel that all the hard effort and work we’ve put into springleap over the last year has been worth it!

So far I’ve bought 18 altogether! So too many to list – a couple are yet to arrive (been 4 months?) – not one of them for myself!
Various sizes – after the first order I’ve been buying larger – girls are pretty petite. My grandson (age 12) is currently on an XL – so, unless you start making larger I will eventually not be able to buy. No size will fit my husband (+1.9m tall and 115kg!).
First few parcels arrived FastPost – last one without warning in the post.
Good first impression – apart from surprise at the sizes (smaller than I imagined) – V. good quality fabric – well made – good seams!
The last lot came without badges and postcards – disappointed with that – a nice feature when it’s a gift.
Print’s are great – illustrations give an accurate impression of the final article.
Like the name, etc. on the back
As mentioned before – sizes a bit on the small size.
Washing no problem.
So far happy with all – have yet to give many to their recipients (all live in USA). Busy supplying my advertising exec son in UK with a variety – has receive lots of compliments (Crayon Cartridge, Memory,
Complex Thought, Economy Class – still waiting for Star Wors, and would love to get Emigrasie if it ever comes around again).
Keep creating!

@Tu – the one you tried was a 3rd generation T. The 4th Generation ones have MUCH lower necklines.

Ah, ok, I see the new cuts ARE combed cotton! I THOUGHT they felt better! Dudes! You’ve cracked this last batch. Really, they feel MUUUCH better. And they are cool and not sweaty, so that’s great. The latest cuts fit much better, really altogether a big step up. WIN. Really, I’m so chuffed with them all. The latest e Sempowenis print is better quality than last time (Marge’s fingers on her left hand aren’t coloured in black) and the actual shirt feels a lot better. 160 msg is just fine. Was trying on some of them earlier this evening. I ain’t got anything bad to say, but if I MUST, its put the designers name on the inside of the shirt with the other text.

1. Well I only got Coolzilla for now, am waiting for others :)
2. Guys tee, size M. Fits brilliantly for me. I’m not a big guy (well 180 but not built built) so I’m glad there are good fit shirts for the likes of me.
3. Got it in the post. Had a little bit of issues with it but generally a-ok.
4. Great print! I was actually worried that it’d be fragile, but it doesn’t seem to be the case so far.
5. Yeah got the badge and postcard – very cool. Not sure about the photostatted bit of “thank yous” with the turtle, that seemed a bit offish.
6. Good good :) I do wish the colours were more vibrant – but that’s up to the designers I guess. Good, thick print, very cool.
7. Too big… Too “standardised”, doesn’t really add to the design… But I understand that designers want credit. I think it might do well with a make over.
8. Great fit, neck too tight.
9. I’m not really sure!
10. 8 outta 10 for the product :) The tee’s cool.

wow @mikdog! we’re finally doing things right! very cool to hear! we specially made the tshirts 160gm so that it wouldn’t be too hot – and they are combed cotton…

we’re working on slight modifications for future tshirts (our current stock will last for the next 2 months though), but for generation 5 of the tshirts, we’ll be making them bigger, so you’ll be able to wear a size down again. but for now stick to xl

glad you liked!!!

Well, I got my shirts today from our last August win. They ROCK!

1. A whole bunch of em.
2. M and XL
3. Courier
4. AWESOME!
5. Very nice.
6. Superb. The printers you guys have now are incredible. Well done.
7. Hmm. Not so mad about that. I’d have liked it to be scrapped altogether actually. I don’t mind the inside label, I quite like it actually. I think the designer name and shirt name should go in the inside neck label with all the SPRINGLEAP info.
8. I never normally take XL, but from my last shirt delivery I know that XL’s the size for me.
9. Hmm, not sure yet.
10. Shirt fabric could be a little heavier grammage. Its a little bit thin. Combed cotton would also be awesome.
11. 10 out of 10.

heya ccbowyer and mikdog – thanks for the feedback. we’ve now done 4 generations of tshirts. the 2nd and 3rd generation had higher necklines, so the new ones are MUCH better with much lower necklines. and @mikdog – totally agree with you. we’re busy designing generation 5 of the tshirts, and the sizes are going to be MUCH BIGGER. but that will only be used in about 3 months. so for now, take a size or 2 up.

Also I’m getting good feedback from our e Sempowenis shirt. I wear it out and people are like ‘where did you get that shirt dude?’ and I’m like ‘I designed it bro/chick’ and then I explain Springleap. And then I pimp.
