Why are people so afraid to make their voices heard at Springleap.com and other t-shirt design communities? Did you know that 10% of us have the ability to influence the buying patterns of the remaining 90%. Bloggers have whipped the whole idea of consumers on the behind by introducing another generation to be considered by t-shirt designers, called ‘prosumers’. Prosumers exist in blogging communities like the one we use here on Springleap.com. The typical t-shirt competition can take a drastic turn by only one prosumer voicing his opinion on the kind of t-shirts he considers fashionable. If many online t-shirt shoppers willing to buy t-shirts online at Springleap.com read his blog before they voted, I have no doubt that voting would be influenced. This is great for designers; if t-shirt designers pay attention to what art prosumers want on a t-shirt design they could tap into the voter’s preferences and ‘BADDA BING’ win a t-shirt competition! We’re actually looking at a generation of T-shirt design opinion leaders. WAKE UP! Fashion can be affected by your opinion guys! If you don’t like what you see, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! On the topic of blogging, ever heard of the African Bloggers Conference?( I bet you know I’m gonna tell you about it!) It’s called Kelele and it’s going to Kenya (the place where people run incredibly fast)this year August. The idea behind Kelele, which means ‘noise’ in the language Kiswahili, is that everyone has a voice. So many African’s opinion’s have been over shadowed by authority in the past. The conference organisers want to embrace the internet and blogging for giving Africans the power of having a voice! Viva African bloggers! The conference is held once a year in a different African country each time, and the theme of Kelele ’09 Nairobi is “BEAT YOUR DRUM!”. Beat your blogging drum instead of using the traditional bongo is the message I guess. What’s more, if you beat your blogging drum to the sound of the African Bloggers Awards you may be chosen as the winner of your country and be sponsored to attend the conference! To find out more visit “Kelele.org”:http://www.kelele.org/.
Come on guys and girls, here’s the perfect opportunity for you to let the design community at Springleap.com know what you want to buy!Tell us anything as long as it gives us some direction as to what you want to be putting on your sexy backs! So comment on me lil’ blog and lets help t-shirt designers get the most out of their efforts. Peace , |

Is so crazy how communication has just sky rocketed with the internet. Blogging is now HUUUUGE! and now that you mention it I can totally see the whole ‘prosumer’ movement… I’m a prosumer and you want ME!
