Listening to the news this morning and I heard that SA Hip-hop star Molemo Maarohanye, also known as Jub Jub, and another motorist are due to appear in the Protea Magistrate’s Court today, after four high school pupils were killed in Soweto. Apparently the 2 morons were drag racing through Soweto under the influence of both alcohol and drugs. I can’t help but think of the innocent kids who were just walking home when these guys were out and about behaving like idiots. And now they are dead. So terribly sad. I honestly hope that Jub Jub and his sidekick feel the consequences of this enormous crime- prison! Justice needs to be served people.Read this article for more info

It seems to be a trend in this country to place no value whatsoever on human life. Where does it end? What is it going to take to make people see that actions have consequences- and that you can’t simply do whatever you want without considering the effects of you behaviour on the lives of other people?

I hope the two of them rot in jail until they die a sad, lonely, miserable death. Do we need to learn by example? If that’s what it takes then fine. Aside from that, they will have to live out the rest of their days with the fact that they ended innocent lives. this will be on the consciences (if they have one!) forever. The same goes for the trucker that killed those 4 cyclists in Klein Karoo. Read here
