I’ve spent a lot of time this month looking at the tshirt design that has been submitted to the monthly competition, and i can’t understand why so many people feel it necessary to add text to the images.

i understand that some tshirt design will require a couple of words strategically placed on the tshirt, but it seems that many designers don’t feel that their concept is strong enough on it’s own, or they feel the need to explain the concept with text.

tshirt design can be striking without words, and if you choose to use text on your images, make sure it fits into the theme of the design.
