when will the July Winners be ready?

shoutOut on 9/8/08 by Eric in wordUp

It takes up to 8 weeks at Max for the Tshirts to be ready for delivery from the day the competition ends.

So for the July competition (the 4th springleap competition), we’re planning for the Tshirts to be delivered if you bought them direct from springleap.com, in the first week October at the ABSOLUTE LATEST (but hopefully sooner).

Watch the space below, to find out how far in the production process they are….

We thought the July Tshirts were going to be ready today – in our stockroom, all ready to go out.

But Eran looked at a sample yesterday afternoon, and refused to let it get printed. We just weren’t happy with the quality. We’re using 2 printers to speed things up, and we weren’t happy with either of there printing! :(

We’re doing everything we can to speed things up – in the meantime, if you know some amazing printers in Cape Town, please get in touch to recommend them – we appreciate all the help all of you have given us so far!

Hi Gabkin,

All I can do is apologise. Our printers in Durban messed us around and we moved the entire operation to Cape Town. 15 of the designs are currently at the Cape Town printer and we’re pushing them every day to finish the printing as quickly as they can. The accessory pack is sitting in our office waiting to be sent. The postcards and booklets look great.

So as soon as the designs get off the printing line in a few days time, then it takes a day or 2 for the transfers to be put into the neck, and then they will be sent off.

If it’s one of the other 5, this printer can’t do them coz the print is too big, so we found someone else who can and printing will also begin in the next day or 2.

We’re really upset about this, but am doing EVERYTHING we can to speed it up.

And we will be including a bonus tshirt for everyone that had to wait to make up for the time.

We’re trying to do a major catch up so that this never happens again and we’re now sitting in our stock room with blank tshirts so that they can go to printing as soon as the winners are announced.

Once again, we’re working FLAT OUT to speed this up – it’s no excuse though. We’re really sorry for the delay!

Um, and so what is the current status on them shirts?

I hate having to nag you guys every few weeks or so, but its now almost 3 months since I placed my order…

I totally agree – originally our model was a 2-3 week turnaround but sadly our suppliers and partners let us down at every turn

We are hoping to change that very quickly now back to the 2-3 week turnaround.

We are printing this week so to be safe I would say that we are shipping July and August within the next 4 weeks or sooner.

I am really hoping to have July out the door by mid next week or so.

Sooo, does that mean the July prints will be done and shipped this month, or can we expect them to arrive sometime next month?

A 2-3 week turnaround time would be very nice.
As it stands, having your shirts arrive 2-3 months after you order them is very frustrating. If I were more forgetful, I could easily have completely forgotten I’d placed the order by now, and had a complete surprise when they finally arrive!

Hi Guys

We have moved all the prints to a new screenprinter and they are starting to print this week! Hooray – we are working hard to get to a situation with a 2-3 week turnaround time from close of competition once we catch up :)

Could we get another update on where the july winners are at?

It’s been a loong time now since the shirts were supposed to arrive!
