Heart in your Pocket by Micky

This is a play on wearing your heart on your sleeve.
The ‘cut here’ lines show the exposing of a heart and the flower is the gentleness ones heart has. The green shoot ‘growing’ from the corner is what’l happen if more of us show a lil’ love… it has a strange habit of growing on you….

Heart in my pocket was indeed one of the first most natural designs on Springleap.com
It is amazing because of its sheer simplicity and effective design punch.

Duncs: What were you thinking when you first started the design?
Monique: “what would I like on a shirt?”

Duncs: What was the original concept idea?
Monique: All 3 designs that I entered featured a heart, I guess hearts were the flavor of the day.

Duncs: How long did it take you to complete your piece?
Monique: A couple of hours

Duncs: Did any other artwork inspire you to create this?
Monique: Not really, I was just letting the creative juices flow!

Duncs: Do you think this design reflects your state of mind from when it was created?
Monique: Definitely, I was and still am very much in love.

Duncs: Is this your normal style or an experiment?
Monique: Experiment

Duncs: Who do you dedicate this design to?
Monique: Nico Brits, my boyfriend

Duncs: If you could change anything in this design what would it be?
Monique: I’d want a different one of my designs to be printed, the one that got in the top 20 was my least favorite.
