The Flash: What, like a bunch of… Super Friends?

Superman: More like a…Justice League.

And so the Justice League was born…a joined force, prepared to battle an array of threats. This team proves that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Springleap designers, meet the team:

Superman – he’s the natural leader of the team with his incredible strength and ability to fly

Batman – he’s intuitive, intellectual and has a combination of acrobatic and technological aids

Wonder Woman - she’s got superhuman strength, speed and the ability to fly. She’s Superman with boobs!

The Flash – he’s the fastest creature on Earth that can move at the speed of light

Green Lantern – he’s a trained soldier with tactical sense. He also uses a special ring that he uses to project laser-like beams and create force fields

Hawkgirl - she has the ability to fly and is skilled in close combat techniques. She can also communicate with birds and has a heightened sense of intuition

Martian Manhunter – he’s telepathic and has versatile shape shifting powers

So Designers, here is your mission:

For this themed competition, we want your interpretation of the Justice League translated into a funky t-shirt design that everyone you know would love to wear. Using the core members as inspiration, think about which you identify with as they are represented in this alternate reality and what or who they symbolise in ours.

Staying within the realm of superheroes- and with a focus on the meaning of justice, who would be in your dream team? This is your chance to create your ultimate Justice League. Think about what dark forces the Justice League would fight against and how they would best utilise their personal resources to do so effectively. In other words, what combination of superheroes
would result in the most potent team the world has ever known!

We’re looking for ANY characters that YOU think would make up an – interesting, funny, kick ass – team like the Justice League. Create your own characters!

Yep Dc has ben neglected, the marvel movie engine is a force to be reckoned with. However I must say that I have very little hope for the Superman reboot. I hear that it will be a darker representation, much like the Batman reboot (we can only hope). I have fingers crossed for Superman, but at the moment I’m more intersted in the Green Lantern movie ;) Tu, I think when they say Justice League its meant purely as a compo title that people would identify with the comic industry…not specifically a DC only rule. shoutBack on 26/3/10 by

Four days out of the office. Four days to fill with as much fun and laughter as possible… Where to start one might ask….? Here are a few suggestions my dear reader.

1. Live luxuriously

...at the Oyster and Champagne festival
This year Bloemendal Wine Estate will be hosting the 4th event of this kind over the Easter weekend… Lucky us! I’m not a huge fan of oysters, but I do love a tipple of the bubbly stuff, so you can be sure that I will be making my way to this event for some live entertainment and of course the “shuck and shlurp”. Only 70 bucks. Yes please!

2. Wine and dine

One of the most stunning restaurants under the Cape Town sky: The Round House, is perfect for some dinning with a difference.

Here we will be having ourselves a little picnic and looking out over the amazing views of the Twelve Apostle, Camps Bay and Clifton.

The reason that I’ll be doing this over this particular weekend, is because there is an Easter egg hunt going down. I will, of course, be taking a friends child along as my cover. Because she is still young, she will need help finding those chocolaty eggs, and when she does, I’ll be there to help! Yum yum!

3. Get sucked into the Vortex

Out where the air is clean! This psychedelic trance adventure is sure to make all you trance bunnies out there wish you had another long weekend just to recover. Good times in jaw-dropping surroundings. 170 km’s from Cape Town is the place of all places to party… a place for the wild and the wonderful. Find out more here

4. Jazz it up!

We have what is known as Africa’s Grandest Gathering, the Cape Town International Jazz Festival, which will be in its eleventh year when it takes place on Saturday and Sunday at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. Once again this festival will thrill loyal and new fans with world class music. Two nights. More than 40 international and African stars.

5. Party in the Garden

Lastly I suggest to you the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts

This Sunday get ready to encounter the hot and cool beats of Gang of Instrumentals, Tidal waves and Tumi Molekane. WOAH! Can you think of a better way to round up your weekend? I cant! In the botanical gardens, awesome tunes and a glass of vino in hand. Perrrrfection!

And BOOM! There you have it folks! 5 ways to have yourself a hippity-hoppity Easter.
