Hey guys

I think… After traversing the site a bit, I find that there needs to be some major overhauls in the site’s structure and usability. Here’s a few points I’ve noticed:

1) This has been raised earlier: The “catalogue” - the seemingly randomness of all the entries really really seems to me like an issue. It encourages casual browsing but if a user doesn’t vote on every last one of the works it just doesn’t work. Repetition of stuff when paging just doesn’t work either.

2) I can’t find stuff - when I want to show people something from the stuff being voted, I have to go to “vote”, click next next next until I randomly stumble across it. Or I have to go to the “theworks” and hope that some1 has commented on it of late so I can access it. That’s not cool.

3) This is probably also done in “fairness”, but it would be nice to be able to see what works some1 has done before - I can’t find the option to - or am I blind?

4) I’d like to see the names of the forums and various bits “normalised” a bit… the Works, Peeps, Word Up, etc, while sounding like cool street lingo, is quite confusing, and even now I’m not so sure where what goes. It deters first time users.

5) Mayyyyybe do a more standard non-flash navigation on top, where the login and registration button is apparently visible right from loading and not have to be “looked for”....

6) Also previously mentioned: the catalogue of stuff for sale should be more comprehensive on the front page to encourage browsing and shopping for non participants. Don’t just pimp four shirts.

step 1 is to start working on the site map and the “wire frames” - everyone seems to be telling us to do “wire frames” - now just need to figure out exactly what they are :)

this is quite a big process so not sure when the new site will launch, but i’m hoping to get it live within 3 months (but that’s just me talking loudly). at this stage i’ve really got NO idea

and massive previews for the mock-ups of the shirts…takes too long to preview the image….say no to flash

hey guys - seeems we are all on the same page:) ... and for me thaat’s a great feeling cause it means we are listenin rite:)

we are working hard on all sorts of amazing addons and modules, and some of the changes you will be seeing will involve

1. non flash navigation
2. search functionality
3. less stylised names for all the different sections
4. easier navigation and ui
and that’s just the TIP of the proverbial iceberg:)

ultimately this site is about you guys and gals… so we try for the more 9you want it? you got it!’ approach.

also expect better profile pages and more.

I agree with the catalogue. Bit nuts.

To see a guy’s previous work click on his (her) name and you’ll see their works at the bottom of the page. I think.

I still have no idea what word up and all that stuff is. I just click on THE WORKS.

AND - a big one for me - I use Safari, and I have to login EVERY TIME. Drives me nuts. How about a check box for ‘Remember Me’. That’d make life easier.
