Well, happy national cleavage day Springleapers! We at Springleap are totally excited to celebrate this national ‘heritage’ day. We even brought our bikinis to the office so we could flaunt our assets on the balcony. Alas, the Cape Town weather just isn’t co-operating with us today so we’ll have to come up with other ways to commemorate this double-d day! Boobs.. hmmm. What an interesting asset. You see boobs are a weapon. Most girls will use their boobs to attract a guy. The thing is, what they’re not telling you is that they want to attract the right guy. This friend of mine told me, ‘Yeah, I dress this way to attract a guy, but I want to attract the right guy. I don’t want to attract every slob on the street.’ You see, that’s how cleavage works. It’s a tricky thing. It’s not a smart bomb. It’s not a laser-guided weapon. You might hit your target, but there’s also going to be a lot of collateral damage. You might hit the guy in the Porsche. You’re also probably going to hit the guy with one tooth smiling at you from the side of the road. So this is a very special day on the calendar for women. It’s a time for us to take a look at boobs in a totally different way. Basically, the day is about health and well-being Statistically speaking, each one of us probably knows someone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. It’s a serious day, but we think it’s also a superfun one. So go on ladies, show us what you’ve got! And guys- this day is also about you. Because what’s the use of having boobs if there’s no one around to appreciate them! And cleavage is totally awesome! So with respect to the significance of the day and all it involves, we at Springleap are all about boobs today. One thing’s for sure, the fitted t-shirts from Springleap are perfect for making the most of your breast assets! All you gotta do is make sure you’re wearing the right bra So c’mon then. Flaunt your assets! Know what’s going on with your girls- and if you don’t, we can suggest people who can help you out * wink wink ;) And it’s always nice to get a guy’s opinion Go on girls, show ‘dem! Happy Cleavage day! Oh, and go vote and see your favourite design become a glamourous Tee! |

Springleap.com is feeling nostalgic! Remember 8-bit games? Think of the sounds, graphics and the all-round retro vibes. These elements connect and share a common root- the digital heritage of Generation X. A combination of a timeless reminiscence, art expose and a culture-critical investigation, this competition theme ties together seemingly disconnected phenomena like the 80’s demo scene, chiptune music, machinima and modified games. What do you see as the symbols of the new cultural phenomenon sweeping the world? Think of a T-shirt design that embodies this 8-bit culture - scavenging the age of the arcade and the Atari for inspiration and material. Part reminiscence, part rejection of advancing technology, 8-bit culture finds its voice by exploring and exploiting old technologies and ancient computers less powerful than today’s pocket calculators. Think Contra, Super Mario Brothers, Pac Man and Shinobi. So, get cracking and put your best bit forward! Looking for some inspiration? One winner will receive… 4 printed t-shirts A cash prize – R4000 (US$ 500) Dates to diarise: Submissions for designs open: 09 March 2021 You could be the next winner on Springleap.com and gain exposure for yourself! PAYPAL MAY BE COMING TO SOUTH AFRICA VIA FNB The emphasis is on may - there are rumours abound on sites like Techcentral that it’s official - FNB are bringing PayPal to South Africa - don’t jump into your seat with you details handy… Well not JUST yet. The truth is that on the 25 March 2021 FNB and PayPal have called a press event merely to discuss the desire to bring PayPal to South Africa. It is not to announce the official launch and reveal details. Oh - how we wish it were the official announcement that PayPal would at last be available to South Africans, but sadly not just yet. We can hope thought. Here are some hard facts surrounding all the PAYPAL issues in South Africa and alternatives as well as a followup on how South Africans can setup PayPal accounts right now That should give you all the info you need to get totally abreast of the situation. We can only hope that CEO CEO Michael Jordaan will address the members of the South African press with some fantastic news regarding PayPal. The solid truth is that we can only expect them to discuss how they are going to try resolve the issues and listen to some worries and woes. There can be no doubt that FNB sees HUGE opportunity here, to bring this amazing system that has so long been absent from the lives of those living in SA - especially before the World Cup and the catalytic effect it will have on our tourist economy. Speaking on behalf of Springleap.com and Fashion Evolution, I can tell you that we believe this is one of the most exciting events on our radar at this point in time. Hopefully I will be at the event bringing you some great info live ;)

Hockey Shocks vs Paarl Hockey Club - Action Hockey League 2010.
This was a titanic battle for a game that’s only 30 minutes long, (Thirds of 10 minutes) and definitely a stamina tester seeing that our opposition is a running side making them very dangerous if you combine speed with skill. Before the game started it was discussed in the huddle that we will try to block their star runner from the beginning just to cripple their attack strategy, but our teams morale was high after they received the surprise sponsor of the cool Springleap.com Tee’s and a quick prayer was said. The whistle blew for the start and we executed our maneuver successfully by starving him, their best player, of running space. This tactic lead to pressure on their side and mistakes started to settle in early but yet we could not seem to take advantage of the opportunities, we would miss the goals or it would be blocked by their goalkeeper. This final was even-steven for the first third at 0-0. After Paarl HC swapped goalkeepers after their first third we, the Hockey Shocks, struck 2 goals, one by Carla (our captain) and one by Kim-Lee, early in the second third and we had to put ourselves in defense for the rest of that third because we started to lose possession on a regular basis partly because fatigue started to set in to some of the players and a substitution was made on the halfway mark to keep fresh legs on the turf. At the break we were 2-0 up and the adrenalin pumped viciously. In the huddle before the final third we discussed that we will not allow them down the middle and push them out wide to either block or tackle them as to this was what we noticed in the game. Starting the third and final third of game play we put our hands together and shouted “*Springleap*!” as this was our sponsor for the final and said our last words of tactics and encouragement. Paarl started the third with a barrage of attacks on our goal box but if they did not hit the woodwork then it would have been an awesome save by our goalkeeper (Riaan Jephtha), at this point our supporters would roar with excitement and theirs would stand hand-over-mouth in astonishment that no ball is hitting the back of the net and we the players would cheer our keeper on. Then finally we managed to put our tactic in full use, due to an increase in possession, and this proved effective. After that onslaught from Paarl we got a break down the centre and a opportunity for a counter attack but the final pass was too strong for our striker and we lost momentum. Never the less a quick tackle on their star runner provided us with some space down the middle again and we seized the opportunity to attack. With a quick pass from my stick and a “swoosh” the ball was in the back of the net from Carla’s stick, and she scored her second of the game. The spectators went crazy and we the players just handed out high-fives to each other with a pat on the back too, just for interest. After Paarl HC’s restart it just seemed to be the final nail in the coffin with simple mistakes starting to settle in and frustration building up as their star player cannot seem to break our defensive line, and the heads started hanging. As the clock counted down the final seconds the crowd did it aloud “3,2,1…” and the final whistle blows and we won!!! At prize giving the runners up got their silver medals and then we received our gold medals and posed boastfully for photos. We had reason to feel good after a performance like that that was out of the top drawer. By: Xavier |
