This design came from the feeling of falling in love.
The silhouette of the trees is the loneliness and despair one feels when longing for a someone special in your life. The heart rising above it is what happens when you fall in love. A heart(sun) rise…

Again, my obsession for monsters continue. I just started doodling on a page and thought to myself: does an octopus really have a brain? One of my random ramblings…i hope u like :)

Inspired by the Charlies Angels… but who needs them when you have the Glippo Angels! They’re much tougher with being brought up in the heart of SA!

Every now and then, someone does something that affects everyone around him or her. Quite often this results in the culprit having to own up, which 95% of the time is not the case. This results in an innocent victim or witness having to take a hit for the team just to resolve an often pointless situation that should have been avoided to start with.

In my design you see a victim taking a hit for the team while the coward stands snarling in the distance, a common occurance!

In Grade 7, we had to do a underwater scene, so I did fish that remotely resemble these. Over the years, I’ve been updating them and adding characters and different fish, and now have a full on aquarium!

You don’t want to hear about what we studied or where we grew up, or any of that boring stuff.

So we asked the team one IMPORTANT question…

What is your PERFECT SUNDAY?

KENDYL

Hello hello…

My perfect way to spend a Sunday… I’m thinking a wintery, drizzling Sunday in Cape Town - calling up a bunch of mates, cooking a giant roast lamb with a sack load of roast potatoes and a bucket of gravy. Breaking out copious vats of red wine and chatting around the table in front of a roaring fire.

Then eating way too much pudding and snoozing it all off on the couch during Carte Blanche.

Life doesn’t get any better.

DUNCAN

Waking up late and having one of my custom greasy breakfasts and then taking an awesome hike up the mountain, to work off the breakfast. In the evening it’s complete chill mode with a good book and music, lots and lots of music.

ERAN

Waking up early in the morning just before Sunrise: Grabbing my surfboard, picking up my buds and heading down to the beach to watch the sunrise from backline.

Surfing the sun to its noon and enjoying a slight breeze blowing through the air, then going to grab a burger and laughing about the day’s surf the killer party we went to last night. Catching a surf later that day and finishing off with a sauna at the gym and a cool shower. To finish the evening: dinner at Elements with my friends, under a bright moon and sharing a Wes Anderson movie.

ERIC

I’m thinking whether I prefer the hyper or chilled version. The chilled version would be breakfast in bed & newspaper till about 5 in the afternoon, with the occasional glance at the net.

More active would be a day trip to a wine farm, or to Kalk Bay or to hout bay.

And extreme. Well I remember the old days, and it’s just too tiring thinking about it!

ROBERT

I don’t think I have one particular perfect Sunday. Sometimes it’s a marathon free-for-all Magic: the Gathering session with the guys. Sometimes it’s a Pinotage fillet steak and associated scenery on a beautiful day just outside my home town of Stellenbosch. Sometimes it only starts in the afternoon :)

Most times, though, I eat well, enjoy good company, and learn something new!

Cant wait to see what designs have been entered.I know I don’t have the talent to enter a design, but I can appreciate a good piece of art when I see it!

There is so much talent in South Africa! I just love all the bead work, African design and art that makes us so unique from the rest of the world!

Good Luck to you all! I will be checking you all out :)
Ciao

The SEO comp has turned into CHAOS. Good Chaos, but it’s a little crazy nontheless.

The current top 5 are:
ONE: http://www.springleap.com/
TWO: http://www.bandwidthblog.com/2008/02/21/springleap-submit-your-t-shirt-designs-and-you-may-win/
THREE: http://www.bandwidthblog.com/2008/03/14/springleap-marketing-a-seo-contest/
FOUR: http://imod.co.za/2008/03/08/the-inside-scoop-with-eran-eric-and-springleapcom/
FIVE: http://www.webaddict.co.za/2008/03/17/springleap-seo-competition-is-it-really/

So the springleap SEO battle has hottened up with Charl, Chris and Rafiq all in the race.

One of the guys who blogged about springleap was No Box Media

WOW - what a posting. They’re number 7 in the competition at the moment, but the springleap team want to take a few mins to just say…

WOW!

They went into huge detail about ideas for how to make life easier for the designers submitting designs.

We’ve actually been working on our new submit process for the last 2 weeks, and it should go live any day now, so we’re looking forward to hearing what they say about the new design process.

They finished off with…

All the best to Springleap, may you grow from strength to strength.

Guys, YOU ROCK!!!!

Hi Guys and Gals

We have made some serious improvements to the tshirt template pack.

Thanks to some of our awesome peeps who gave us a shoutOut on some of the problems and our springleap team who helped tweak the pack.

Download the new updated tshirt template pack please as soon as possible.

Here are some of the improvements :

1. READ ME FIRST.pdf” - an adobe acrobat file that MUST be read before submitting designs and uploading or submitting your magnificent creations. This contains all you need to know about image sizes and what is or is not allowed on your submissions.

2. We have fixed the Macromedia Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Macromedia Freehand files so they all contain the same uniform 12 colour options for your choice of tshirt colour.

3. The Adobe photoshop template is set at 150dpi.

Enjoy, and if there is any way we can help - don’t hesitate to shoutBack!

All the best and none of the rest :)
